Take Action for Early Intervention

Our Babies Can't Wait!

Illinois' Early Intervention (EI) program provides critical services to children under age 3 who have or are at risk for significant developmental delays and disabilities.

Thousands of families are still waiting for the EI services to which they are legally entitled. Service delays are tied directly to the program’s ongoing workforce crisis. EI providers continue to leave the program because the math doesn’t add up.

On this page, you'll hear directly from families about their EI experiences, read about our EI crisis in the news and learn how you can take action for EI.

Join us for a Town Hall on July 23!

Are you a current family in the Illinois Early Intervention (EI) program? Did you know that families in EI have a legal right to the therapy services indicated in their plan, and that there is a law in Illinois stating that all families in EI should be receiving all of their recommended therapies within 30 days of signing their plan?

Learn about all this, and more, as we partner with Equip for Equality and Start Early to bring you the first Family Rights & Complaint Process Town Hall. Hear directly from experts on July 23 at 7 pm CT. All are welcome to join this town hall!
